Abstract Painting Joy

My three grandchildren live close enough to ride bicycles over to swing, play music, cook and many other activities including painting. Last week they brought their nine year old friend. She looked at the background of the above painting and said, " It looks like an abstract". All of the children quickly agreed that the painting could be enhanced by streams of colors flowing down. They each selected colors and the final painting was completed with joy, laughter and excitement.

"Grandchildren are the crowning glory of the aged;
           parents are the pride of their children."
Proverbs 17:6 NLT Everyday Matters Bible for Women.

  1. I love blue morninglories and this is so pretty as your header. Looks like you are an artist? I used to paint with oils long ago... just now getting back to some pen and ink. Just looked through some of your lovely poems here and will come back for more! :) Thank you for your encouraging comments on my site too! I love finding kindred bloggers too!

    I've only been blogging for two years and just now starting to get more readers... If you look at my recent posts, you can see how I've linked up with other blogs (the buttons are at the end of each post where I've done this, and if you click on them, they take you to those blogs). This brings a lot more to you and I think from what I've read here, you'd find many to enjoy your lovely words!

    1. Pam, Your comments are so precious. The poetry is a new reflection of many inspiring people, health circumstances and ancient novels. I have painted several years mostly for pleasure and self expression.I look forward to visiting "Apples of Gold" often for a joy break.
